Hello all you E30 fans, i've had a 318is now for 2 years she has had her problems but she has always put a smile on my face. Im looking for a little more fun now by fitting a LSD but im new to all this and i don't know which ratio diff to fit. Please can anyone help me in my quest to make that smile bigger. Cheers.

4.1 if you want the same ratio that they came with.

3.91 are fine too but lose a small bit of acceleration and gain in fuel economy.
A 4.27 or 4.45 will do the opposite by improving accleration.

Try a search too since there are loads of threads on this

Try to get the small casing LSD if you can, as it will be a straight swop for your exising diff and less weight to carry round than the large casing diff found in the likes of the 325i sport.
