Get the whole alloy down to bare metal, the give it a few coats of graphite.
Then sand down the lip again until it's smooth as silk.
Lacqure the whole wheel then and then get a few bottles of wheel polish to keep them nice and shiny 8)

Having the lip bare will polish up very nicely but will last about two mins and will start to corode over time and look shitty again.

Hope that helps you abit

Cheers. Is graphite a type of metal filler?

Is that true about the suspension - do I already have mtec springs / dampers???
Yes, you sure do. All tourings came with M-Tech suspension as standard. Oh, and you'll notice that you have rear brake discs too.
Not all tourings have the M-tech 51mm suspension. The very early 318i tourings (up to Sept 89) had 45mm stuff, but still had rear discs.
My touring is a 1989 G plate, with 45mm front struts - confirmed by the VIN.
Ah whoops, I stand corrected. :D

Had a bit of a fiddle with her today and amongst other things, remove Yuppies Handsfree kit from 1990!

Plus this Rapid Rubber Stuff turned up from ebay.

You can get it from here. http://www.waysideadhesives.com/Plastic ... 1_list.php, but I got it on ebay for a Fiver. Thought I'd try and fix the crack in the dash and actaully worked out OKish. Would look better if my dash wasn't so faded &crap tho.
