My aunt is, understandably, not on this forum, but she had an E30 ever since I was a youngun, and it was one of the first I was exposed to... of course... I had to have one eventually

Any pics of your 325i?

My girl used to drive this until we had a baby 6 months ago

Then she had this until it was replaced by an E36. She also loves my black 325i in the sig pic but i've stopped letting her drive it unacompanied since it was repainted!

The response I got out of my girlfriend on purchase of the touring was "so you've bought an old rubbish car, you're going to remove all the bits that look nice, and then drive it fast round a track", followed by several hours of eye-rolling and sighing.
The roll cage discussion was even better:
"So why are you putting that in then?"
"In case we have an accident and the car rolls"
"Are you going to have an accident?"
"I hope not, it's not part of the plan"
"So why do you need a roll cage then?"
Ad infinitum...

Welcome, I think the E30 I used to have was the car that finally moved the missus on from the "it's just a car" type of sentiment to actually driving a car for fun and appreciating the noise and the feel good factor that comes with a nice 325 (not that our car was actually nice)
I'm sure the usual knuckle dragging type comments are made in jest and if they ain't then behave yourselves.
Girlies can enjoy cars too.
P.S. It's probably Ratch
