But they have immaculate transport systems, proper education pathways and health care that is truly amazing - witnessed first hand!

I don't have enough experience with Scandinavia, but mainland Europe might as well be on another planet. The biggest cities in Germany for example - Berlin, Hamburg and Munich all have a superb rail network so that actually going somewhere on the U Bahn is a pleasure. Cigarette machines stand outside on pavements in every town, village and city unmolested. Gangs of hooded, spitting vermin are notable by their absence - and trust me, vermin is not too strong a word for the scum that pass as 'underpriveledged' Britsh youth. I can walk around Hamburg's Reeperbahn area on my own and go into any bar and not feel threatened. Same in Paris, Amsterdam (need to be a bit savvy there), Lyon. The difference is that many years back, British and German politians came to a fork in the road and we took the wrong one. Trouble is, the UK is now Royally f*cked. There is no way back now short of an absolute revolution that involves boot camp, national service for unemployed scratters and cold, damp prisons with a five year minimum term. Taxes, crime and immigration will continue to rise and by the time it all imlodes, Messrs Brown, Darling and the rest of the Labour clowns will all have cushy desks in Brussels from which to push that well paid pen.

If you go to Canada, just the shipping costs. Unlike the US, you can ship virtually anything to Canada - a rudimentary MOT test and make the sidelights work with the ignition, a Canadian rear number plate (you don't need a front one) and off you go. My Dad took his 1991 911 out there, no probs at all. No speed cameras but the cops take a dim view of speeding.
I've seen plenty of E30's and other old BMW's around Halifax and quite a few Eurpean imports.

Grr!!!

got my tax renewal letter through asking for £99, went oline to pay for it to be greated with the message:: "due to the budget annoucement, the price shown on your reminder letter is different than that you have to pay" - or something along those lines.

I thought that under trading standards; if a product is advertised and offered at a lower price than that at the till the seller have to offerat the advertised price. I want my £3 pounds back!!!!

Depending where you go, you may want a left hand drive anyway mate.
If you go to Spain or Portugal, leave the Sport behind and get a 320iS. 2 litre M3 engine... Nice.
Currently slumming it in an E46 Touring

My folks have been in Canada for 3 years and are never coming back here. It's fairly quiet where they are......but you're right next door to the USA so you'd never be short of places to go. :D
