This is my back yard stuff Stevie, I can see why you choose these guy`s as they have the same approach and work ethic as you .
I am just lovin` all of this mate, and you can`t rush a job such as skimming a head, it would not be "right".

Interesting that they left cleaning out the head bolt threads in the block till last and used a tap for this risking swarf getting into the bores.

Should use a thread chaser and do it well before re assembly.
