Hi

Would anyone know what tyres would of been on my 1990 325i Sport Cab when out of the dealer?

Dealer fit back in the day probably would have been Continental, Vredestein, Uniroyal, Dunlop, or possibly Michelin.

My 1987 car has a Uniroyal Rallye spare-tyre.

Sorry to hijack the thread but what tyres are now considered the best all round option for an e30 on 15" bbs rims?
I've had a look at the wiki and it looks like Toyo proxes or uniroyal rainsport 3 is this still the case?
Or is there a new contender for top tyre?

Unless you use yours as a high mileage daily driver, I wouldn't worry too much about tyres.
Just get something from the list in the wiki. Sure there's been updates, for example the Uniroyal Rainsport has an updated version 5, but generally the list looks spot on.

There are a tonne of decent options that mean you can fit a new set of tyres for less than £200. That said, the likes of Camskill does list an awful lot of 'ditch finders'.

In my experience tyres is an easy one. If you go to a price comparison website and or shop around a bit, generally the more you pay the better they are. Simple as that really.

Spend as much as your budget allows. I've never bought cheap Chinese tyres as I think that's the worst thing you could do to your car. Budget tyres are false economy IMHO.

Try and stick to at least mid range or even better still premium brand tyres and forget about it for years to come!
