Heated front screens

I've just been contacted by a (reliable) chap who's asked if I'd like a heated screen for the E30.
He has 4No. available at a cost of £136 each including VAT (will confirm that) plus delivery.
I'm definately having one for myself so there should be three up for grabs.
The way I would want the GB to work is that a deposit of 50% is paid up front to me, and the buyer travels to a collection point in Essex (the guy's having a load of scoobie screens sent there too) to inspect their screen and pay the remaining 50%.
If the screen is damaged the deposit will be refunded and I'll claim from the carrier, if the screen is fine then the remainder of the cash will be expected and the screen can be taken away.
I really don't want to get into posting screens to other people and the £136 is exactly what I've been quoted so there's no meat on the bone for me to be pissing about with.
Definate "yes" and genuine queries below below.
Cheers!
Alex

They sure are!
Apparently the guy went ahead and bought all four.
Final price was about £141 iirc but they do need collecting from Essex.

Errrr, not sure what wiper heated means.
They're pretty much the same as the system Ford use, with the teeny weeny ziggy zaggy elements running from top to bottom of the whole screen if that's any help?

You fitted one yet Mr Brown??
I'm assuming any reputable glass fitter can seal it in place and then it's just a couple of wires and a switch?
Also a proper good fit?? Being a non-bmw part, they fit spot on and are water tight, etc when fitted properly???
I really want one but will have to see if funds allow at start of November if there's one left!!

Coolio, could you send me an e-mail to mcbain3<at>gmail.com with your full name, address and a contact telephone number, I'll let you know as soon as we can go get them.
The guy who has them is trying to arrange a day when the most people are free to collect so could you include a list of dates you'd be able to do? Would rather do a weekend myself but I'm fairly flexible at the moment.
Cheers!
Alex

Will check.
Please could you send me the above info e30_singh?

If the two guys who have said they'll have a screen have already e-mailed me their details, my apologies as they've gone into my spam and been deleted.
If you've not yet e-mailed me, please do so at your earliest opportunity.

Couldn't post a piccy up could you Craig?

I'll take some pics on wed. I'm getting it fitted then. It's wrapped up in about 10 layers of bubble wrap (I'm not joking!).
Such a clumsy twat I daren't go near it. I can tell you thought it is a pucker screen and the ziz zag element is close to invisible. Well worth the cash. I'm amazed that these haven't been snapped up and so's the seller.
Autoglass wanted £100 to fit it but I bumped into one of there fitters in Tesco and he'll do it for £40! Every little helps eh!

No tint and no black margin, just clear with the elements in the interlayer

any idea who the original supplier of these was?
i have done a search and only found screens for the m3 which i believe to be different as theyre bonded in.
wouldnt mind two, plain one for my new track slag project and if poss a top tint jobby for the sport luxerymobile. i would be asking if you had any left but its a long way to travel for a screen.

Any more info on these, like any more available, if not can any more be ordered etc. That looks a bloody good price to me and would be very useful in a track car etc. I would be wanting something like this later on in the year.
