as pet title

ALSO NOW AVAILABLE ARE SAFETY DEVICES CAGES

FOR E30'S WITH OR WITHOUT A SUN ROOF

FULL CAGE, WITH A SINGLE DIAGONAL AND DOOR BARS £600
FULL CAGE, WITH AN X bar (twin diagonals), DOOR BARS AND HARNESS BARS £700
FULL CAGE WITH REMOVABLE DIAGONAL AND DOOR BARS IS £650

prices do not included VAT, AS A GROUP BUY 20% IS AVAILABLE

or for an individaul purchase 10%

supplier is automac

e mail them at automacgb@yahoo.co.uk reference kos/e30zone

all come with a more comprehensive fitting kit than the OMP cage, and easier to fit , not FIA approved , but they are stronger

with the omp cage, i have found out that they bolt simply to the floor of the car, and door bars you need to weld up yourself

with the safety devises ones , door bars are bolt on and are removalble, and comes with box section to fit the cage to the floor

looking it to this, likely to be a 6 point OMP one with a removable rear diagolal and designed for a non sunroof e30, BUT will still fit with a sunroof ( you wont be able to slide it, just tilt it )

these are good cages, very strong and great for track day cars, with a removable diagonal the rear reats are still usable

the price will be cheaper than deamon tweeks, that i guarantee (they are £355 plus VAT and carridge so comes in at near £450)

guaging interest at the momont, will need to have 5 cages at least to get any significant spice saving

if any one is after just a rear section this could also be possible

any questions just ask

regards kos

depending on how many agree then there may be a chance of anything up to 10% discount.

Hi,

My name is Kevin Gordon, and I co-own a company called Crombie Carversion Company. We specialise in engine conversions and track-day preparation (our 205 featured on the front cover of Practical Performance Car Nov 2006 issue). Due to this we deal in OMP products, specifically roll-cages.

I can offer the following:

BMW E30 6-Point Roll Cage (AB/104P/17) for £335 fully delivered

Cages are shipped direct from OMP and the leadtime is approx. 4-6 wks.

The full OMP range can be found here:

http://www.ompracing.it/en/homeen.htm?c ... age=en

Please post here or send an e-mail to crombiecraversionco@hotmail.com with any enquires.

There is an imminent price increase from OMP (approx. £15/£20), but I will hold the above price until the end of February regardless.

Thanks for taking the time to look - I hope that this is OK with the Mods....I was just going to send an e-mail asking if it was OK to place Trade Adds when I noticed this. Please remove if there is an issue.

Regards,

Kevin.

also, i'm sure OMP have strict rules on what you can sell you cages for ?? i do belive it is about £350 plus vat ??

Kos, I'm a bit confused. I'd like the £210 sunroof version cage, but will this be delivered to my door or will I need to pick it up from you? Is Kev-G suppling the cages you started this thread for? Who am I paying the cash too?

Sorry if I'm being a bit dim here.

Kos,

Apologies, didn't want to piss on your parade - Bad start. I thought that you were exploring the options on prices and that I could add to this - Please feel free to ask the Moderators to remove my posts.

To answer your questions:

All our cages come from OMP as we don't hold any stock in this Country - Leadtime is therefore 4-6 wks.

Recommended Retail Price is currently £333.40 on the AA/104P range. We are effectively selling for this price and absorbing the VAT and carriage. Less profit....

Again, apologies.

Kevin.

no worries

at that price its good, my supplier cant really afford to absorb too much of the cost, but he can get a good deal on safety devises

having seen both, i'm going for SD simpler and stronger

basicaly i can get anything above in the previous posts

Kev-G:

The OMP cages you sell, does it come with a rear diaganol, and is it bolt-in or weld in like the door bars?

Also, doesn it go through the dash or around it?

Cheers.

Back to the cages,

Why is the SD cage no longer FIA approved??

Is it the cage with legs to front and rear struts?

Re:

Posted: Wed Jan 24, 2007 2:20 pm
by Kos
not sure why its not FIA approved, i think its some thing that happened last year when they changed owners

the cages i was going for a 6 point bolt in, they do not triangulate to the struts

they cage is still approved for use in the rwd challange and khumo championship i belive

Kos are you still getting a group buy together, I would be interested in a discounted cage, I have had safety devices in the past, excellent everything about it was spot on, If your still sorting this please keep me in mind,
I went to the Autosport show just to pick a SD cage up with discount (like I did last time I bought one) but they didnt go, gutted
I used to sell OMP cages, they were never painted and often had service rust on them. and the fitting was far from straight forward, but once its painted and in they are OK,
Im with SD all the way.
Please keep me informaed Kos.

right people, the deal is if i can get to as near to 10 guaranteed buyers for a safety devices cage a 20% discount will be on offer

RRP on full cage with an X bar in the back, harness bars, door bars is £700 PLUS VAT comes to £822.50

including VAT as a group buy, cage will be £658 a saving of about £160

a turn around from day of ordering is between 4-6 weeks

a slightly cheaper alternative is a cage ith single diagonal, will have exact price on that monday but i do recall it being £600 plus VAT, so with discount will be £564 inclusive of VAT

cages can be for a sunroof on non sunroof e30, and in all cases sits infront of the dash, and come with a complete fitting kit

names on list please

PLEASE NOTE:
everything is subject to final agreement but i'm confident that all will be fine

Good luck Kos...well done for keeping going..for the good of the zone
