Black_Potato - You'll have to form an orderly queue.

I've fitted a special front bumper just for Combe - with secret Jimmy magnet. Should be approaching his rear-end by about lap 6

Yep it was bitterly cold despite my attempts to look like an eskimo.

So come on then what happened at Quarry on the first corner of the race guys? All I saw was tyre smoke and cars going in multiple directions! Got a few pictures from the day which I might post up later(all qualifying though). Also a small amount of video footage.

Car of the day: The lotus sunbeam. What a chariot.

Jimmy, as per usual....Hero. Got 4 people in with my 2 tickets :)

First time that I could properly watch combe in over a year - no sodding FF to run today.
I was well impressed with the series - great racing! And some nice freestyle at the exit of camp for some people! :D

That was my mate in the Sunbeam. You'll have to excuse him........he had no brakes  He was double pumping the pedal at every corner... 8O F*&% knows what'll it be like when there working.......

Any body know where I ended up? No.73 in then TTRS. I had a few goals to acheive yesterday : a) Don't crash/ check b) don't come last/check c)finish higher than where I started/????????? d) overtake someone/check

Didn't think I done too bad as it was my first trip to combe and my first ever race. That's my cherry popped then :o: Think I learnt the circuit about two laps from the end!!

Really good day and thanks to the PBMW/TTRS boys for setting it all up. Hope you'll have the green meanie out for Brands Jim.

.
There were a few DNFs so you should be Ok for making up grid positions, so full set  . Well done on the first one out of the way, if you keep an eye on the MST timing website (google it, its called something else now) they should have all qualifying and race times and results etc online shortly after the meeting, also gives your position at the end of each lap so you can see how many places you gained/lost on each lap. Nothing there yet, but the BARC meeting results are there so should be up shortly.

Brian were you there, or was your old car there?

And did it have a shunt? One car was rather unfortunatly spun into the armco near the exit of quarry.

It was proper unlucky. Car 'A' ran a little wide, got it slightly sideways, but didn't really correct(in case he overcorrected and ended in the barriors I presume) it then tapped the rear end of car B at 45 degrees and sent car B spinning and collecting the barrior with the rear panel.

Poor Car B, he had done nothing wrong :(

Car A continued. A tad unfair, but thats racing I guess :) :?

wayne from german cars , anyone see this car ?

Yup Jon, car B was Jerry Brown in my old car out for his first race, really bad luck. Should be fixable, just won't be so straight again. I was there, but just watching for this season, did an arrive and drive car for Ed Redwood, again in his first race. The guy spinning pretty much every lap in the black 318 was my brother Mickey, we finished the car 11pm on Sunday so Combe was the first time he'd driven it. He went to the grass to avoid the Quarry accident on the first lap which left him last, then trying too hard to catch up. Finished third in the championship last year, looked like a novice at Combe

If Wayne was Wayne Howlett, he qualified 13th but DNF on lap one, I'm guessing because of the Quarry crash. Don't know if he was involved in causing it, or just an unfortunate victim that got caught in the chaos behind it.
