Mummmy!!! :( Very very poor upsettingly, and the Fiesta (Beamer not read) badly needs a service, so no track day shenanigans for me. If anyone with a track prepped E30 wants to go halves or some sort of deal though let me know!

If enough E30s are going I might come straight from work, could be there around 6, could I get on someone's passenger list? Could do with learning the circuit, and getting top tips for my tarck project!

I may bring a spare alternator, battery and some tools too, as these have been known to ruin people's day!

I dont mind taking you out but can you be a passenger without the wrist band handed out after the safety briefing?

I think as a passenger, I'd just have to go and pay some notes and fill out a NOK form to get my wrist band - no drama. What you got DHFiS?

Without wanting to be a killjoy if you have been on track before you'll likely find the Novice evening more frustrating than useful as people will in the main be going relatively slowly in road cars, and MSVR keep a careful look out for any intimidating driving, overtaking on the run up to corners etc to make sure the novices feel safe (and will want to spend more money to do it again). May be better value in the long run keeping an eye out for an open day.

"intimidating driving, overtaking on the run up to corners"

I think they'd be happy with that assessment - personally, having never done a track day before, the Novice one was absolutely ideal.

The E30 that wasn't DHFiS' was mine. There was a short period when I was in front of Colonel Custard and spotted the elaborate camera rig on it afterwards, and was selfishly hoping the footage might surface at some point. All the pictures on the MSV website have my wheels pointing in the same direction which is disappointingly unrepresentive of my afternoon.

That'd be much appreciated. Glad it was your boss driving, I think I'd backed off once already to make a bit of space but caught up again so came by in a typically tedious 318 style.

No problem, I'm surprised BMW dont publicise these events more heavily.

I would have stayed longer but this was a shake down after the work I had done after Silverstone and there are still some noises I need to investigate.

I get a noise on left hand bends that might be linked with my E36 rack or might be some other as yet unknown problem. Did you work out how to get your clocks refitted after the cage was installed?

The spin at 1:45 wasn't exactly what I'd call boring.

I'm sure you're right about the M3 having potential, but not so sure about the driver in the middle section. A bit more practice required perhaps. A dry day would certainly be a gentler learning curve.

Thanks again for your perseverance with the upload.
