Built a few years back to race in PBMW championship

I bought the car to hopefully race next year. Done 4 track days this year and will be changing bits over winter!!

Winter wish list is :-

Another diagonal added to cage
Standard rear disks and pads put in
New exhaust
New suspension
Swirl pot

That's about it!! Maybe paint it but I quite like the ratty look :D

Over the last couple of weeks I've painted inside the boot and cockpit satin black... Looks quite good. Want to strip the engine bay to paint next

My two mates E30's with me at brands..

Green one is a proper race car, red one is a track car of show car quality!!

Hi mate

Its just a 320i !! M20 engine??

That's what the series specifies for entrants :)

It was a bargain and was fully built, welded in cage, new eared seat, harness, extinguisher, :D

Nice car, I dare not add up what I have spent collecting the parts for a build.

Ah cool cool, used to be able to run the 318i M40 too in PBMW. Built cars can be bought so cheap at the moment can get some real bargains :D

There still a couple of 318's but I don't see why they bother tbh??!!

Yeah I agree, buying a built car is cheaper but its very rewarding building your own, that's what a couple if mates who have won the championship did :)

Maybe when I'm older and more mature ill build one!!!!

Well there's little in it power wise, next to nothing intact but I guess the 6 pot has that little extra torque? Swings and round-a-bouts ha

They all say the 6 is like and anchor over the bonnet and the m40 is a better handling car. But places like Snetterton and silverstone over a year more than make up for it due to the long straights where the 4 pot is nowhere.
