management... Again

I know it has been covered but my brain is baffled with this management stuff, too many options and too much I don't fully understan, so could do with a little help please.
I have almost certainly decided on megasquirt and I want a ready constructed unit I'm not going to be soldering boards up. I want to have wasted spark on a turbo m20 2.5 using a holset hx35 turbo And evo injectors.
I have upto really 700 quid to spend but really the car is just a drag race toy so doesn't need loads of options like anti lag or nitrous control as that's separate anyway.
I know a few on here are using vems but I'm confused enough without looking into that.
What are people actually successful using I found it hard to get advice from people who actually sell this stuff in the UK is microsquirt an option?

yeah you could use a microsquirt for wasted spark and batch fire injection, you will need an external ignition amp to fire the coils unless they are logic level 5v controlled. are your injectors high-z or low-z. you will also need an external map sensor to wire in.

a ms3 with a ms3x card is pretty awesome though. and a lot more features, antilag, launch control, traction control, loads of different boost control options, nitrous control and the list goes on.

with all megasquirts there is no onboard wide band lambda controller so you may need to filter in the cost of that to.

I would be using a separate wideban, tbh I would just buy the plug n play one from diyautotune but them import costs are outrageous.
To anyone using it who did you buy from I keep getting told to avoid ebay.

Have you considered VEMS? Wideband is built in, saving having to buy one and they do a PNP for m20's:

Don't buy VEMS or MEGASQUIRT for your money you can buy adaptronic off EFI PARTS RUNCORN its the best standalone you can buy for your money !
Do some research on efi parts best stand alone tuner about !
VEMS is based on megasquirt
