E30 Zone

Im a little unsure as to what to do.

Currently i have a mildly tuned M30 B35 which already has stand alone management in an e30 touring and i have a standard e30 316 touring.

i cant decide wethwr the leave the m30 touring alone and s50 the second or to turbo the m30

anybody got any oppinions?

Depends what you want it for.

Balls out speed and insanity - turbo the M30.
Fast, reliable daily driver that can be driven sensibly - S50.

Or turbo the s50 for an insane car but leave it badged as a 316

I'd love an s50 turbo but unless someone wants to sponsor me funds just won't stretch

if the m30 is already fitted and running i suggest turboing a known quantity,

Cant these be ramped up to about 350 on stock internals Rav?

Upto 450bhp no problem on stock

I thought they could handle 550bhp stock?

They can, they guy in the video is running about 570 RWHP on stock. about 650 at the flywheel

what about the early 745i engines based on the m30 - what are they capable off as I presume they have the low compression pistons etc
