M20 turbo manifold
Moderator: martauto
Hey guys
I'm looking for some advice on a turbo manifold
I have a home made one at the moment but I'm looking for something that is a bit nicer looking!
Anyone recommend a good rhd manifold?
Thanks
Dave

Have seen these are they any good though has anyone got one and how have they found them once they have got them fitted , any cracking issues
What makes that one work over other ones then?
Purely the fact the turbo sits over cyl 1+2 rather than 2+3 like others, giving more room?
My only issue with the ToyoSport stuff is the design, and their pretty crappy build quality, means it's going to be more prone to cracking than some others I've seen, but they also have the turbo flange a little further back.

An expensive option would be a schmiedmann.com one they look mig welded but are stainless steel - I'm not saying its better but a new manifold to my knowledge
All the ones I see on their website are Chinese ones too.jimmyspeed wrote:An expensive option would be a schmiedmann.com one they look mig welded but are stainless steel - I'm not saying its better but a new manifold to my knowledge

If it's this style we're talking about :
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221016220552
they don't fit anything very well.
I just offered mine up today; it would fit on 4-6 OR 1-3 but was too short between 3 & 4 to fit both at the same time.
So I cut the flange between them - and the pieces moved together...
Wedged them apart a few mm and tried again, now 6-2 are OK but #1 won't play.
Cut the flange again. This time #1 runner moved up
Much bodging and wedging later, all is secure, but the oil filter needs to point forward and I'm not sure what to do with the oil cooler pipes. Given the extra heat going into the system I don't really want to delete the oil cooler, is there a solution?

point the oil filter backwards, over the engine mount, you can then get the oil cooler pipes on, good luck there shit manifolds haha:)handpaper wrote:If it's this style we're talking about :
