hi lads,
just a little help needed with my system.
my set up is as so:
intake filter then intake on eaton charger then charge cooler with BOV fitted "iv have used a waste gate type valve from a turbo system witch shouldn't restrict flow and is fitted to blow off before charge cooling" then MAF then throttle and intake manifold.
i have all the parts and am mostly ready to assemble i have my charger ready to fit but i need to drill a couple of holes to fit it to the mounting bracket on the block. before i can drill these holes in the correct position i need to determine the correct pulley to use. i have two pulleys at the moment.
first pulley is # 1433684 and is 130mm with a single serpentine. part no2

second pulley is # 1727547 and is 115mm a combination pulley "v-belt and serpentine" and would allow me to run the v-belt to the original v-pulley on the steering pump. part no2

they are both spaced diffrently off the main trigger wheel/ crank pulley witch only allows me to drill and mount the charger in the correct position once.
my question is:
witch pulley would offer the better performance running the charger or,
is there a better suited or more commonly used pulley i should use....?
any help would be great...
m42 + eaton m45 pulley question....geoff bob!

i have done this install before and used the first (single serpentine) pulley.
If i could do it again i would go with the second option though and keep the original v belt to run the power steering and alternator.
When you relocate the alternator if you plan to use the first option (serpentine belt/ribbed belt) make sure you line up the alternator perfect otherwise the belt will jump around
How far have you got on the install?
let us know how you get on.
