.. So the spring cleaning has started! Gave the e36 a proper wash and spent ages removing tar from the sides and back. The turbines have been painted a more normal colour and are back on.
Still think it scrubs up ok
Also gave the compact its first proper wash since buying it back. This time it's staying bog standard so I've de-satin blacked the grille, refitted orange indicators and un-tinted the rear lights.
3 years living in London haven't been kind, its covered in fallout so needs a proper clay and polish session.
Two cars, pretty much the opposite ends of the early 1996 e36 range

Cheers, I love them
had them on before a few years ago in the same colour scheme but for some reason they didn't really work. they were only 8s all round and the car was on standard suspension.
this time, the rears are 9s, and i've left the inner fan blades off to increase the dish effect and the car now sits a lot better without being unuseably low. still a nightmare over speed bumps and multistories though

Loving the M3, the wheels really suit it

What Et are the wheels? Have you used spacers, and what size tyres are you running, oh and have the arches been rolled.
Sorry for the off topic!

Fronts are 8x17 et20 with 215 45 17, rears are 9x17 et22 with 225 45 17.
no spacers, front arches are standard, rears have been rolled and very slightly pulled, but you'd never notice with standard wheels on.
most people would have gone for skinnier tyres and run lower, but i still like driving it how and m3 should be so have been quite conservative

On Thursday it sailed through it's mot, not even any advisories. tester said it was very tidy underneath, and couldn't even suggest anything which might be worth doing
And today,

Wow, ancient thread bump Chris
How's things?
The evo is now on over 232,000 miles. Still goes like stink, but think the clutch will be the next thing to need attention, it's getting heavy and the release bearing is getting a bit whiney. It's not had one in the last 100k, and I'm pretty sure it's probably the original.
As it's a photo thread, here's one from last week
