E30 Zone

Hi,

I've got a 2013 e82 135i that annoyingly doesn't have cruise control.

It does look like retrofitting is pretty straightforward. I've found the replacement switchgear on ebay, there's a lower cowl that I need to replace and removal and refitting looks reasonably straightforward.

The thing that i can't do is recode the option onto the car.

2 questions:

Does the recoding need to be done at the same time as you fit it or can I fit it and then drive it somewhere with the car working enough or will it throw up unhappy errors and not let indicators / wipers work?

Does anyone know of a BMW specialist near Brentwood, Essex (M25 J28) that they'd recommend?

For something like that I would drive a bit further round the M25 and take it to Barry at BMR.

Thanks - agree Barry's likely the place to go - was wondering if there was something closer to home.
