E30 Zone

Hi
I have fitted a new radiator and filled with water, ran it without the cap for a while but it keeps wanting to boil over! i have undone the vent screw to try and expel any air, had the heater on but only cold air coming through with the temp gauge getting near the red!!
Car is a 91 318i cab

Any suggestions appreciated!!

Had this problem when I changed the heater hoses recently. An airlock in the system is the reason for overheating and is usually cured by allowing the engine to cool and then topping up.

Also raising the front of the car (ramps) will also help a lot.
