Starting problem on my E38 728 (M52)

Hi guys,

Starting problems.

Right, its been taking a few key turns for the engine to turn over recently but now it won't turn over at all? Ignition lights come on all okay, I have put a new battery in but still wont turn over.

I have had the starter motor checked out by a specialist and he says its fine, no problems with it.

I have noticed a strong smell of fuel when I've been trying to turn it over?

Any ideas what could be the issue?

TIA

Ignition switch is common on these and E39's, E53's.

Have you checked your getting power to the started when trying to crank?

Not yet, it's at a local garage. Will get him to check it tomorrow.

Ignition switches easy to get hold of?
