E61 clutch easy or not???

Hi my mate has a 2007 520d E61 with the M47 motor 6 speed.
Its due a new clutch. Is it a straight forward job or to be avoided at all cost? Any info on times and tools I would be grateful for.

Piece of p iss.
Only tool you need is the clutch alignment tool, and a universal one won't do as its a self adjusting clutch.

These are the same on the 530D aren't they Barry?

Yep, they are the ones Jamie.
As you can see there are different sizes for the different gearbox input shaft sizes.

Will see if snap on do any - can't be having laser tools in my box

I told him and offered to help but he's now going to take it to a so called specialist ££££
