E39 intermittent stalling

Okay not strictly an e30 question but hoping you can help me with a long running issue with my e39 M54 530i.
Basically for about 2 years the car hasn't been running right - lack of power, occasional rough idle, poor performance in low revs etc.
However, it has now stalled on me 3 times in the last couple of years.
The first time, garage diagnosed it and said it was camshaft sensor (intake) so this was replaced. Was fine for 2 weeks, then stalled again. Camshaft code came up again, so another sensor for intake, and also replaced exhaust side for good measure. Used BMW sensors as I know aftermarket ones cause issues.
Few months later, stalled again but this time oil leaked at the back of the engine suggesting leaking rocker cover gasket. One crankcase breather hose was split so decided to do the whole oil separator valve plus all 4 breather hoses as thought this blockage could be leading to pressure. Haven't done the gasket yet but its not really leaking now (although have plans to change it). Car ran better but not 100%.
Has been fine for 3 months on daily use although still lacking power, but today stalled again.
Now, each time it's stalled it's within a few
minutes of a journey. Have to leave it for half hour or so and then it will start but run rough.
Codes thrown by the INPA software show:
227 Mixture Deviation Bank 1
228 Mixture Deviation Bank 2
202 Lambda Regulation Bank 1 Post Cat
203 Lambda Regulation Bank 2 Post cat
These have consistently come up on each stall.
However, first stall also showed camshaft sensors (replaced), but second stall showed the above codes plus:
83 crankshaft sensor
244 crankshaft interval timing
Having cleared them they haven't come back again and don't show on the third stall either, even though i haven't replaced the sensor.
Only extra one on third stall is code 238 which is misfire cylinder 1.
Am confused on what's going on here...any ideas?
Should I just replace the crankshaft sensor?
Are the 4 mixture type codes just a symptom of another cause?
Sorry for the long post but thought best to give the details!
Car is a 2000 530i sport, m54 engine on 90k....just been recently serviced too.
