Hi I have owned my 1990 320iSE for 12 years and always had a problem starting from a warm engine. Starting from hot or cold is perfect. I have changed the blue temp sensor before with second hand ones. This time I fitted a new one cleaned out the air flow meter and throttle body the problem is still there, any help would be appreciated Thanks John

Which ECU do have - the 172 or 381, and do you know if it has the standard chip?
Also check you have suitable spark plugs with the correct gap, no inlet manifold leaks or splits in vacuum hoses, etc.

Try a couple of pumps on the accelerator and then hold pedal 1/3 down when starting warm. It does say something along those lines in the original operating manual.

Thanks for info Will check for leaks again. I do manage to start the engine by keeping my foot on the throttle but it takes a few cranks to get it going. Also have replaced Pugs/ leads/ dizzy cap with no improvement in the past.
