Hi,
How do you remove/re-fit the interior mirror and also , can I tap into the wires for the interior light to use on the auto-dip mirror?
Many thanks,
Cheers, Mart.

Power wise, I'm not a fan of splicing into other circuits, but I don't see a reason why you can't, it's a faff but I'd route a cable from behind the glove box, up the Apillar and across. It means threading it through with wire and possibly taking the sun visor off for more access but it's a proper job..

I expect that's the same as my e36 (& e30 cab) - twist ~60 degrees (apply force on the plane of the screen if that's not obvious!).

Not as yet mate but I found this from the e36 forum so I might give this a go.
"According to the wiring diagram, there are 3 wires, and each has a number.
1 blue/green is the reverse light wire - this wire goes live when you go into reverse.
3 is permanent live, from a 5A fuse - but it is only live when the car is being driven !
10 is ground, probably brown.
Just wiring up wires 3 and 10 will get it going. Wire 1 is optional - it turns OFF any dimming when you go into reverse."

I dropped lucky when searching through E-bay. This guy had re-listed it and I was the only bidder at £6.49 delivered. There were a few well priced at the time.

Sorry mate, but I have no idea on that one.
I belive the fastening to the screen could be the key here.

Up date.
I fitted the mirror and wired it into the interior light this week and was a bit disapointed as I could not get it to do anything when shining a torch into it so I thought "f**k it".
However this morning was so bloody dark and grim and wet (5.20 am) I noticed that cars behind me in the door mirrors had bright , white lights but , in the rear mirror the lights were a subtle shade of light green with absolutely no dazzle or intrusion at all.
Very impressed indeed, so if you have or want one then this is a mod up there along side HID`s !!! Get on it .
