So i've just bought one, MOT failure, couple of suspension parts, anti roll bar mount, exhuast flexi and a wiper.
Its a 1.6 twin spark Lusso on '07, paid £100

Has full leather, is in great condition and been well looked after.
Might well keep this for wife when she starts her business.
Any major dramas to be aware of?

Cambelt intervals are 25k miles I think and also come with a balance shaft belt. I've done a few head jobs due to not getting replaced

Thanks Jamie, I bought it from a client so will find out when it was last done. This and oil service and regular checking seems to be all I can find that needs keeping on top of.

Fairly certain they take 10w60 oil! A waste of good oil in an Alfa!

Checked the oil today all good, nice colour too. Rather annoyingly though the airbag light has come on today

Will keep my fingers crossed my chaps can plug it it in and reset it when I take it in for MOT.

No balance shaft on 1.6 and 1.8, they're 2.0 only.

2.0 engine have a balance shaft and a separate belt to run it. 1.6 and 1.8 engines don't.
Not much wrong with Alfa electrics either, most boo it is Bosch and Marelli.

Just an update, got it MOT'd shortly after buying it. Need lots of front suspension parts, and though it didn;t fail on brakes, I fitted new discs & pads all around, and a pair of front boots.
Cut a long story short, my son wanted it, so he bought it off me. Here is, loving it

Ha Ha no! £250 plus the A3 I sold to him the year before. I'm still stuck with A3 though! He got the best deal. And yes, he is, baldness is on my wife side. Oh and the fact that 'technically' speaking, i'm step Dad.
