volvo c30 starting problems

I'm sorry this isn't e30 related but after some general advice.
my girlfriend has a volvo c30 and it has had issues over the past 6-8 weeks.
it struggles to start, sometimes fine other times takes around 10 times. Its now got to the stage where it wont fire at all.
I've suggested that it may be one of the following things, either the injectors need changing/cleaning, fuel pump on its way out or blocked diesel particulate filter.
its a 2009 59 plate volvo c30 r design sport. Mileage is around 80,000. Recently been serviced and all filters changed.
would be really grateful for any advice and apologies that this isn't e30 related.
