After owning one at the age of 19, I've always been a fan of these cars.
had the opportunity to buy a '93 4.0 sovereign in Flamenco Red metallic, so took the chance.
here she is in all her glory:
Low mileage with s/history and MOTs to back it up.
A few wee tweaks to be done then she'll be a nice little smoker.
full details of the collection epic can be found on my blog at
https://fuguttycars.wordpress.com/2014/ ... od-for-me/
Hope you like the car?!

This one is low miles;)
Cheers, it is indeed a total waftfest compared to the e32 735i manual that preceded it..
These jags are just a little bit more traditiinal then a german exec barge

I have to say, an XJ40 Sov with the oblong lights and those wheels is a guilty pleasure. Got to be a 3.6 or a 4.0 through, none of that 2.9 nonsense. To my sick, twisted nature a bright red TWR Sport version with the bodykit and cheese cutter grille is a fine looking thing.
XJ40's will the new Mark X / 420 where no bugger wants them until they've all gone.

Cough....time to wheel this pic of my old turd out again. Oh how I miss its non existent rear subframe bushes leading to scary tramlining on the dualler, the impressive levels of rust and the mushrooms growing in its soaking wet drivers footwell.
Hope you have as much fun with your new Jaaaag Neil.

Having had a glance at the manual she's not far short of 1800kg-so takes some stopping!

Had a fiddle with this tonight.
Topping up the brake fluid after the bleeding has put out the ABS light, and the brakes seem nice and sharp:)
Its also now on the road

So this has just thrown up a new fault.
It only starts in Neutral, and it makes a "GRRAunch" noise when you pass through Neutral on the way to either Drive or Reverse.
I'm starting to think it may be down to either a sticking solenoid on the starter, or some issue with the inhibitor switch- anyone any suggestions?
I've also included it in my March Fleet update
