I need a towbar for a 52 reg golf cabby and im having difficulty finding them online, are the rear floors/panels the same as the Mk4 hatch?

I thought that cabrio was based on the MK3 golf rather than the MK4.

Yes I think the floor is the Mk3

There was no mk4 cabriolet as such, it was basically a facelifted mk3, different headlights etc. I've never fitted a tow at to a cab but from memory it's no different underneath to any other mk3, at least not rearwards of the sills.
