...been watching too many Minder episodes i think

My neighbour just treated his X300 to a full respray, no idea what it's called but the interior on his one is epically hideous, a sort of montego countryman 90s graphic effort

Alas, indeed, the X300 carried over the nasty XJ40 interior / dash.
The dash issue was fixed when the 308 came along but the chocolate V8 5 speed auto box issue make cheap 308s a bit of a gamble

X300s can resemble a pear but not as quickly as a XJ40. I remember the hateful turdz with rotten bootlids / bulkheads etc at 6/7 years old

And yes, I have had a few

My XJR didn't drive nice.....it had a subframe that seemed to be connected to a different car...was always waiting for it to pass me on the motorway. It also had spectacular rot and mushrooms growing in the footwell.
Was comfy and had a bit of go about it, probably due to weight loss through rust.
Pic of said turd.

Now we are talking ! That is a proper turd. I wonder will the market ever tire of dumpy MK11s and realise that they were in the midst of greatness all along, and it didn't have leaf springs
A mate of mine has just bought a 'Sov on the K plate for a monkey. She is a series one in white with Sundym glass, black leatherz and electric windows. She's got the not so naughty 2.8 mill but it seems to run OK. Its a bit of a bogged up turd but could very easily be a twenty footer.
He wants me to come over when he gets it on the ramp for an autopsy. I have my finest Stanley screwdriver with a burr walnut handle ready

Burr walnut handle?
All of my Stanley 'drivers have plastic/rubber grips,I lost the last wood-handled one to the river several years ago!

I realise this looks rather rough, but I want it simply for the red leathers....Its only up the road and he has agreed to deliver it...but I need to haggle down to £300 first...

Bloody shame though - a good colour and red leather masks the XJ40 wrongness quite well.
I nearly bought a D reg 3.6 Sov. In 1994. 20 fucking years ago.
It was 1700 quid with a rusty bootlid, belonged to a bloke who worked in Oxford sorting office.

Cloth in a big cat is just rude!!
I've always fancied a series 1. Long under valued, a late one on the chrome sovereign rims and a full length foreskin makes me moist.
Xj40's and 300's do nothing for me.
