A mate of mine had one back in the early 90's. Had a sticker in the rear window saying,

"MG cliterous takes some licking"

MG Metro Turbo!!!!

I'd forgotten how shit these were. I had to rebuild my brother in laws back in the early 90's after it shat it's gearbox and the small bits shagged the oil pump. The rest was history. He couldn't pay all the bill so I pugged up the front wings, served it on to cover my costs and a small deposit on something else for him.

He ended with a loan and a very nice 85 XR4i which he then banana'd around a lamppost in Stevenage in the snow.

Yes he was and still is a Mong of the highest order. Now has a nice 120d MSport mind.

What's happened to the link ... Now goes to an E36 320 auto with 52k!

Wasn't it Harry_P that's a Metro deviant? Sure he had a special one secreted up his back passage?

My old man had one in 1986, a B reg pre facelift car in Cinibar red. It went alright but it needed a new wing at 2 years old. It needed a new downpipe as well, what a bastard job. At 18'000 it developed the infamous 4th gear rattle that meant the plastic cage for the mainshaft bearing had broken up. It was polished up and disposed of via Witney Car Auction.
