OOOh dear. Would be a brave man to take that sorry sack of shit on.

I knew a guy who spaceframed one of these. It ran a 302ci in it.

I love these but they are crap , as are most British peasant chariots of the era .

85 EGN :D was bought in the late 90s for £800, the seller wanted £1500, he protested that the plate was worth £1500. I stated that people who remove plates from 'classic' cars are thiefs and such activity was scandalous and repulsive. He eventually succumbed and I headed home in the wheezy underpowered sorry spastic .

After stamping the chassis number into the latest in a long line of strut top repair panels a letter was sent to DVLA and the plate was transferred onto my '89 Spur , fooooking executive stylee :D

The Crapi was kept for a while as an urban runabout but every journey was a drama , usually involving greasy hands and some pushing . It had to go, a deposit was paid by a VERY fit rocker chick that I knew , but , despite my best efforts, the spastic continued to cause grief.
After a particularly fraught journey when the under dash wiring started smoking :eek: I decided to return the girls deposit and serve it to somebody I didn't know :)

This is the car I was on about. I've never been a fan of the Classic or Capris looks. Always thought they were ugly pigs. Steve built this but about the only original parts are the rear quarters and roof I believe. Ran some good times at the pod IIRC. I think it still exists but it's not been used for a good few years now.

I think they are a great looking car, unlike most other 60s European Fords. Undoubtably they are rather prehistoric and crap, like most other 60s European Fords.

PS That Viscount has me moist ! :D

I am obviously a peverted fool;

Those early Capri's always looked the dogs dangles to me,these days they obviously require a more modern Ford donkey.

My old man nearly bought a black Consul Capri that was running a Rover V8 some years back, i always thought they were good looking cars.. Good ones fetch some fair wedge nowadays! I'm in no doubt that they are crap though.
