Mercedes SLS GT3

Hey guys, thought I'd share some pics of our SLS GT3 cars which I work on at Fortec Motorsport
We do British GT and Blancpain Endurance series. I've been working as a race mechanic for the past few years and this is the most recent team I've been working for. The SLS are always very popular with the spectators at the race meetings, they have a lot of characture
We've named our cars 'Fenton' and 'Mutley'
For those who don't know 'GT3' cars are based on their road going cousins. They have to be the road car chassis and engine with things like suspension etc pick up points remaining the same as well. The body work is based on the road cars but is often wider to allow for the wider wheels and made from carbon fibre for obvious weight saving reasons.
They were both shiny new this year:

A bit of prep work:

A couple of weeks ago we did the Spa 24hr race. The premier GT3 race in the world. 65 cars started and only 27 actually saw the finish flag! We were that 27th car after suffering a gearbox failure in the night but we got the car back out there:

Just a select few
We've had a busy year so far and not much sign of it letting up just yet! We have a Zandvoort test next week and then the 6hr VLN race Saturday, more testing, British GT, Blancpain then some long distance stuff in the middle east with any luck.
As we go on this year I'll try to put more pictures and stuff up
If any one has any questions feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer
