He's only gone and bought a Citroen....

My old man has finally lost the plot. Not content with the Austin 7 in his garage, he's now gone and bought a 1922 Citroen B2 (with a 1919 body).
All he can tell me about the condition of it is "It's dark blue" because he hasn't seen it yet. Apparently this is a joint venture with the same cousin he went halves with on a fire engine in the sixties......
Here's a picture of a similar vehicle:
For extra fun, the centre pedal is the accelerator, the right hand pedal is the transmission brake (acts on the prop shaft) and the hand brake acts on the rear wheels. There are no front brakes.
Riiiiiight. Sounds great for drifting!

I think 90 years is some acheivement for a french turd. When you think that a modern Renault Laguna would be written off after 4 years due to gearbox issues!
Hows he going to feel after you've torched it?

And there it is...safely repatriated from England to it's homeland. It's a 1922 Citroen B2 Torpedo 3 Door - with the earlier 1919 style body and a roaring 1.4 litre 4 pot. Phwoar
Full paedo resto, but original paint.

I doubt the chassis could handle double digits, let alone the safety equipment (of which there is none).

It's not without appeal, but cars of this era are much of a muchness.
If it was a seventies GS 1220 Club I'd be far more excited. Proper bonkers Citroen tackle.

I like it. But then I light my fags with a lighter that's as old as that car...
