Got 5 decent tyres at 195/65/R15 on steels
And some bbs alloys at 225/60/R15 with not so good tyres.
Alloys look to be a inch wider. Worth attemping a tyre swop?.

All thoughts welcome on the swop

I have 195/65/15 winter tyres on 7J BBS and its fine. Its the minimum recommended tyre width for a 7J wheel. Although it does look undersized.

I think its best to get standard fit tyres though.

I have 185/60/15 winter tires on some 7j BBS, works fine for me and doesn't look as good as 205/55 but does the job nicely.

225/60 are a much better tyre for an everyday car Gaz, curb protector bulges FTW! :D

Didn't bother in the end. Thought better of it. Heavy car the e34. Feels over engineered compared to the e30.
