The Marina has gone.

Well, I sold my 72' Marina on ebay and its just left my house now... Not sure if i'm happy or sad. Its been sitting doing nothing and sold for £510 so thts always good,shame I had to half it with the missus and then buy an engine for the touring with my part.

I'd say it was a lucky escape. All that morris minor suspension in the mid 70's was just wrong! And limeflower interior??? Eeeewwwwwuuugghhhh

Aha! I feel much better already now im looking at the cash I have... Not much at all, but it still looks better than the Marina.

You fellas in the UK never got the Marina 6. My mother had one. An Australian only model, it had a 2.62 litre OHC motor from the P76. I think is was an ill-considered attempt to compete with 6 cylinder Toranas and Cortinas at the time.
It was the scariest car ever made. The suspension was dreadful, even on the 4 cylinders versions. It would leap randomly and recklessly off line in all directions from the littlest of bumps, and word understeer does little to convey the terror that accompanies every attempt to negotiate a corner.
