Hope everyone is ok,

So my search for an BM e30 sport has ened (for now). I looked for about 5 months eveyday and truth be told I couldn't find the one I was after.

Might get slandered on here for saying this, but I bought a golf Gti MK4 2001 instead.

The car is really smart and came with all the optional extra's. For £2000 I couldn't refuse it.

So for now as a golf owner, will still stick around here as I like this forum and still love oldskool BMW's...

Magpie was perhaps slightly abrupt but he seems a jolly decent fellow all the same and a top trader - supplied me with a very good AFM not so long ago.

Magpie, have you seen the poll in Kindergarten by any chance? :D

Depends on what Mk4 GTI it is.

If it's the 1.8T, happy days. Great car, had one, would have another.

If it's a normally aspirated 1.8 or the hateful 2.0, good luck my man. Complete wrongness IMO

They are nice motors to boot about in and they are nicer to drive than an e30 and when it snows YOU will be going to work unlike an e30 owner, who will probably go and buy a peugeot 306 diesel to do the job the beemer can't.

good luck with it sir

+1 on this, a good friend has recently purchased a N/A 2.0 and after having a drive I can honestly say it is one of the worst cars I've driven.
If ever a car didn't deserve it's badge - this is it!
On the flip side 1.8T is quite a good car.
