I had the immense displeasure of being asked to assist a mate with his a couple of years ago. And it's still on the stands now. A complete bag of shite and no further ahead in terms of build quality to the 1970's Elans and Europas I was around back then. Every wishbone bolt was seized solid in the bushes. None of the bolts were plated or lubricated. He's now contemplating a skill saw and £1400 for new wishbones.
When I was underneath it, it was like looking at some parts bin kit car. The headlights were all corroding and the adjusters were like an old mini.
I came away with the words "complete crap" in my head. I certainly wouldn't drop 15 bags into one.

B7's Motto. "If it's French, BURN IT!!!!!!"
The Elise is scrap, f ucking hateful. The only Lotus from the lat 25 years to buy is the FWD Elan from when GM held the purse strings.
The 993 is so immeasurably superior it's not even in the same ball park. It's value will increase unlike the Elise, and you will not look like a cunt driving it. Tough choice.
