Just thought i will update this thread... Gosh it's been a while.
Well the good news is it's almost done, should fire up this week.
bad news is i didn't go with the s62. there are many aspects that had me away from using a BMW engine as a swap but mainly there are no qualified people who can carry this swap successfully arround us here in the middle east.
i ended up going for a 4G63 swap because the shop doing it is very experienced
you can see most of the pictures here.

I was thinking of a 4G63 swap in mine before I went for the S62 funnily enough! It looks good in there, and a lot more room than the V8
What's the engine/turbo spec?

I went with an evo8 engine, Evo X turbo, and subaru STI gearbox...
the engine sits vein the same location as the S14... i'm speaking from a weight distribution point of view.

Is it finished?
I just came across this dyno graph from my 4G63. Evo VIII engine with IX turbo, GSC S1 cams on stock cam wheels and 3 inch Magnex full system. It was fun in an Evo. It'll be fantastic in a car with a few hundred less kilos and rear wheel drive I think! :
