Hello everyone,
i've got a BMW E30 316 with the M10B18 carbed engine that im looking to get some more power out of.
The stock 316 makes about 90 hp. I'd want to increase it to about 120-130hp, hopefully with the following setup:
Change the Pierburg carb for a 32/36 Weber or a 38/38 Weber
Switch to a 284 ° Schrick / Ireland Engineering camshaft
Tweakbox Appvalley https://vlc.onl
New exhaust system (Ireland Engineering)
A new mechanical advance distributor + a Bosch sport coil
What do you reccon? Will the targeted power be achieved?
I don't really want a race car, just a bit more spring out of the lovely E30, that also remains a nice daily driver.
Looking for more power out of my M10

removing the pierberg is a good start, they dont age well. As opposed to webbers why not try a bespoke fuel injection system- the M10 version you have a very straight forward engine.
