has anyone seen any conversions with this bad boy power plant?
i believe its from either a 550i, 650i, 750i or X5.
buckets of torque like almost 500lb-ft and 360bhp

Yea, but Valvetronic & double VANOS combined with all the DSC, EWS 3 etc etc hassle has driven people using M60-variants that give out - not exactly same but quite near - power / performance figures
M60B49 is doable (M62B46 block, S62 crank, custom pistons) and with slightly modded heads would give 400hp / 500Nm, combine that with M62TU VANOS heads and you're quite close already (and you don't have valvetronic causing headaches).
