Hi i have a 4lt M60 going in my project, before i started i bought an m62 3lt where the bottom end had gone, i used this for a test to see if the project was a goer. It was so i stripped the M62 i now want to know should i keep the heads for spares on my M60? Are the parts interchangeable ?

Yes they are pretty much interchangeable but the bore is different and altogether there is no sense to start replacing the heads on those V8 engines as you can get "new" engine much cheaper than repairing old one.

So the blown engines are good for making templates for engine swaps or as wine bottle holders
