Does any body here have a template of one they have already made? Or better still any body fancy making one for me and i can pay them for their effort, as i dont know anything about welding.. The gearbox im using is a 5 speed manual from a 1991 e34. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks saj.

There's the problem that all of the gearbox mounts tend to be "one-off" projects due to different engine positions..
How are you going to tackle exhaust manifolds, brake booster and engine mounts if you can't weld / get welding done?

Yes i am geting all the bits welded by sombody as i dont know how to do it. Suppose il have to get the bracket made up by someone localy then.
Brake booster is done already. The engine mounts are being ordered from a fellow zoner, And im not sure about manifolds yet, either x5 items or custom made ones from an exhaust company. And as for exhaust i want to have one welded using the e34 and e30 exhausts for now, until i can afford a custom stainless system. Do u think my plans will be ok or am i going to hit problems going down this route?
Also on the plus side iv bought another doner car. Its a 1995 540i auto. So know will be using a m60b40 with 5 speed manual box from the 530i.

If you cant do welding yourself just save yourself alot of time and aggro and go to JP exhausts and for £1200 you get manifolds and a full exhaust system. You can then spend a couple of hours fitting it. If your brake system is already done then youv hardly anything to do.
By the time youve bought manifolds, hauled the engine in and out loads of times to make sure your getting the clearence, pissed about with them got someone to weld them youd have spent £1200
and also, I live in basingstoke and am just about to finish mine up, so if you want a look at one let me know

Your probably right Phill, i am going to look in to this. Is this the same system you are using?
Im still a long way away from fitting exhausts, plenty to do yet, so iv got plenty of time to save up for the the system i suppose.
Also i would definitly be interested in coming down to have a look at yours. it would be rude not to, seeing as your only down the road...
Give me shout when your free, and i will will pop down.
thanks saj
