E30 Zone

im just in the research stage atm. but does anyone have a list of parts which are needed/can be used for the s50 swap.

I also agree this would be useful.

There is no list as such because everybody has a different approach to the conversion, there are a few threads about that will give you the basics.

The only "definitely need" that I can think of for a M or S 5x conversion is a pair of E36 alloy engine mounting arms, and even these could be replicated in steel if the need arose. For everything else, there is at least one other option, and in most cases, many.

you will need,
e36 engine mount arms,
m535i engine mount rubbers,
e34 525 sump,dipstick.also oil pick up if 3.2 s50,
e30 brown temp sensor,
5 speed e36 m3 box,
e36 328 prop with e30 centre bearing,
e36 gearbox mount rubbers,
e30 gearbox mount,
e36 m3 radiator
