Alex, it can all be hidden behind the S14 bulkhead wiring plastic covers. How you getting on ? we want pics ! :)

Some wires cross other wires in odd places and prevent the loom to be stretched. Those need to be cut and rearranged then soldered back. But there're only a few of them. Then you can cram everything into the 4-pot cover and S14 cover like what said above. I mount relays outside the 4-pot cover on the fuse box as there is not enough room for them inside the cover.

Thanks for the advice. I've tried stuffing it into the s14/m40 covers without much joy, it seems a z3m loom is a better option but for the time being a load of loom wrap some zip ties and some "I don't give a ****" attitutude, is working fine.

Here you go Pete

I used the ZM wiring loom in my RHD car and it worked fantastically. The ECU sits in just the right location (where the 325i ECU was). I see yours is a LHD (M3??) so couldn't tell you which loom is best. Getting it under the S14 wiring covers was a complete pain in the rectum but nothing complicated, just shortening wires where possible and going nuts with cable ties and nice low profile soldered/heat shrunk joints.

Get some more pictures up dude.. I do love a nice S50'd E30...

Cheers Jai, I hadn't really thought about just chopping out the unnecessary lenghts of wire that are in there. The ECU lives in the same place for all e30's. At the moment the ECU is only just inside the cabin and won't reach the standard position bit its fine for the moment.
More pics in the photo gallery.

I got my RDH wiring behind the S14 cover. Took a lot of time and re doing but got it in there at last. Had to pull the thick black wire for the coils inside the car.

The first thing to remove completely is the E36 battery cables, all you need in there is the power to loom wire, use a single starter cable from battery pole to starter.
It will go in, you just have to re-lay the various sections of loom

Which one of the cables is power to loom wire then?
Is it that one who is together with the starter to battery pole?

How about the three relays, does anyone shorten the wires for them or just let them hang as a loop outside of the S14 cover?
