M40 to m20 swap

Looking into a direct and hopefully easy swap. Question is do I need the tank mounted m20 fuel pump or will my m40 be ok? Thanks Alex

M40 and M20 use identical pumps. The tank is different on small engined saloons, but that makes no difference.
