E30 Zone

Hi all
does any one on here know of fitting E36 rear disc brakes trailing arms on an E30 possible or is the E30 rear dics trailing arms a specific fit only?

E36 Compact is what you need. Very common 5 stud conversion.

does your bimmer have rear drum brakes? if so, swap the rear trailing arms complete with discs/calipers from an e30 wreck that has them.

e36 compact is an option if you want to go the whole 5 stud option front/rear, but 5 stud front swap is expensive as you need e36 96+ m3 front trailing arms, shocks ect ect, the other route is e30 m3 front & rear complete and again costly.

as your ride is m40/42 I would say avoid the 5 stud & go e30 disc rear and if you want better brakes see the below link to the wiki on brakes for cost affective upgrades, hope this helps, cheers.

just a thought as someone might know and it might help you out. because E36 TI rear disc arms are cheaper and more plentiful. could you not get those but then just repace the rear wheel bearings/hubs with a 4 stud E30 ones?

hopefully someone knows the answer to this.
