turbo/carbs/supercharging advice please.

Hello guys,
as much as many of you hate the idea of modifying a m40 1.6, please don't poSt abuse on this thread, all it does is mislead the debate.
I'll start with its not worth me putting a 6 pot in my car as police are all over engine swap's around my area at the moment but I can afford to insure turbo/supercharging.
I'm quite interested into what I can do to squeeze a bit more power out of my little 1.6 while I build up an sr20 at the side.
Does anyone fit different heads, run cams eto? & what power do you get? Also how easy is it to turbo/supercharge, what's the best bang for buck? & has anyone ran carbs on there's? Any info on that too?
