Removing m40 MAF Studs

I've got an induction kit for my m40, but to be able to fit it you have to remove the four studs that are on the air flow sensor. I've tried using stud remover tools, but the studs seem too small to grip them.
Has anyone got any ideas how to remove them?

Two ordinary nuts. Spin them on the thread. Lock them together hard, with two spanners turned in opposite directions. Continue turning the inner nut with the spanner, and unscrew the stud.

I tried that on one of them and snapped it. They are very soft

I had exactly the same issue a while back, you need to heat up around the studs with a gas torch or oxy/acetylene to soften up the locktite (it's most likely been set for 20 years) - The 2 nut method or a pair of molegrips should then get the stud free
