hi;

I am running an e30 with a/c with a motor from e36m42. at the moment I am using m40 single mass flywheel. I would like to know what the original equipment for e30 m42 is? some say twin mass and some say single mass.

I do not have any desire to modify. I use the car for everyday use and hence acceleration. I just want to keep the engine as original as possible!

according to http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E36-C ... #1739315_1
only vehicles with A/C would use twin mass. but is this important?

thank you.

Engine vibrations up to 3000 rpm.

They are all single mass on the M42 despite all that 'twinmass' nonsense on Realoem. Only very late M43 and M44 1.9's with AC had a dual mass flywheel.
