Timing chain cost for a 318is 1993

100% agree with this, I am in the process of changing mine. I would imagine that quote is chain only. If you are a biker its like changing your chain but not bothering to do your sprockets at the same time.Kedge wrote:That's very cheap i'd say. When i was looking to do this about 4 years ago parts alone were about £400 that was all gaskets, sprockets, guide rails and tensioner. No point changing the chain when everything else is wornout, will just make the chain wear even quicker.
