Great idea to have all the different sections alright!
Maybe the 6 potters might stay out now so we'll be able to have some peace

We only want a section... not a whole site
M42club is good but its soooooo slow!
Wonder if an M20club would be a quicker site?

Iv got an m42 e30, im wanting to squeeze 180-200bhp out of it would i be best going for cams half weight flywheel 325 clutch and other tweeks like better cold air induction and that or......a charger conversion and if any1s put a charger on one what did they use and what performance would i be lookin at? im really serious about it as i would rather keep mi pokey screaming 4 pot than get a 325 or a c2.7 thanks

2.1L stroker is your best bet with lightweight flywheel etc.
Appletree has done a Eaton M45 and a Rotrex charger conversions on his iS and think he was getting around 200bhp with the first one.

oh rite il look into those ideas, see what costs are and see what would be more benificial, the only problem with the i.s is the slugish throttle response and 0-60 time of 10 seconds would like to eliminate those issues and have something worthy of pinning me into my 1991 creaky recaros

something about my i.s that just makes me wanna keep it, it might break down from time to time and have that old car smell of fuel and worn out magic trees but its a cheap thrill what i havent had with any other car

10 seconds?!?
Mine does it in about 7.5ish and thats before I build the 2.1 engine

mines probably a bit quicker but not much just going with the book time of 9.9secs mines only got 79k and all standard apart from a k&n panel filter at the mo, but want it to have quick response and definately wants to have 180+ bhp i would be happy with that does any1 know any bmw tuners in south yorkshire area? well who are up on e30s/e36,s anyway? i wanna keep the m42 lump and do something with it just lookin at different ideas at the minute mine could well end up a 2.1
